Windows7 control panel applets in single window

0 comments

We know that control panel is an important place to manage and control all activities carried out by the operating system. We can tweak different settings using control panel applets. Unlike former windows versions like XP, windows7 control panel have a slight difference. Here we see the applets in small and large icons and as categories. However it is difficult to find a specific applet from this kind of user interface for a beginner.

To get rid of this problem, we can build a super control panel in windows7 which is capable of showing all control panel applets in a single window. To do this:
  1. Create a new folder in place where you need control panel
  2. Rename the folder to  Mypanel{ED7BA470-465E-8E54-825C-99712043E01C}
  3. Here, you can change Mypanel to any name that you like
  4. Give the extension after dot as above.
  5. Done!
By double clicking this new icon, you will get a window which has about 260 shortcuts from Action center, Network and sharing center, Power options etc.
